CHARACTER INTERPRETATION
» Appearance: Siri stands at 5’8, lithe and muscular, with long, sandy blonde hair and striking blue eyes. Her usual style of dress is Jedi robes of browns and creams, with a brown cloak, sturdy brown leather boots, and a brown leather utility belt, on/in which she keeps all the Jedi odds and ends, or a close fitting uni-suit made of leather, with leather boots, gloves and the same utility belt. She’s graceful and has a purposeful, athletic stride. Her grin is crooked, and her smiles tend towards mischievous or mocking. Her gentle smile is a far rarer thing. Having spent time undercover she is highly skilled at becoming someone else. As Valadon she sauntered and flirted, was charming and seductive, speaking in a silky voice. As Obi-Wan put it ‘The Siri he knew was gone. This Siri didn’t stride across the room. She... wafted. Something happened with her hips and her legs and her hair.’ As Zora she was more vicious, angry. (I’ve been using actress Katheryn Winnick as her PB, as images of Siri are... limited. EXTREMELY so.)
» Suitability: Siri is a Jedi; she’s been raised in the Order, and has been sent on her fair share of dangerous missions. She can easily survive on her own. Life outside the Order will take some getting used to, but she’s adaptable. She’s had to be. The mission she was sent on as a Padawan (the mission that would be her Trials, the mission that would earn her her knighthood), sent her undercover for a number of years with a group of slavers. Now, we don’t get much information about her time with Krayn and his slavers, but what little we see of Krayn indicates that it’s probably not a pleasant time. And, you know, they’re SLAVERS. I headcanon that there were undoubtedly things she had to do to maintain her cover that she did not enjoy. Or particularly WANT to do. I suspect that some of that might have involved a bit of fucking. So while she will not be PLEASED AT ALL about being forced to have sex lest she die (and she might very well see how masturbation serves her immediately following her arrival), but she will.
» Orientation: Siri is heterosexual; the only attraction/attachment we see her show for ANYONE in canon is Obi-Wan.
» History: (between 200 & 1000 words) Born in the year 55 BBY, Siri was taken to the Jedi Temple at the age of two and raised within its walls. As a youngling she was noted for her skill in lightsaber combat. Her... spirited disposition led her to having quite the rivalry with fellow Jedi trainee Bruck Chun. She was fiercely loyal to the Jedi Order. Even the first time she spoke with Obi-Wan, she called him an insult to all potential Padawans, because he was taking a leave of absence. This was, of course, before she was chosen as a Padawan herself. It was prior to her being chosen that she aided Obi-Wan in tracing Bruck’s connection in Xanatos’ infiltration of the Temple.
A few months afterwards, she was chosen by Jedi Master Adi Gallia to be her Padawan learner. The two accompanied Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan on several missions. The first of which was an assignment to the planet Keegan, where they were supposed to collect an infant girl for training and open communication with the isolated planet. They discovered the corruption of the Benevolent guides and, in the end, were able to take the Force sensitive infant back with them to the Temple. Shortly after that, Siri and her Master were contacted by Jedi Master Tahl while looking into the disappearance of Master Noor R’aya. She wanted them to go to Simpla-12 to assist Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. The information Siri’s master uncovered about the case the other Master had been assigned gave her reason to believe that Jenna Zan Arbor was behind Qui-Gon’s kidnapping, as well as that of R’aya. Obi-Wan confirmed that his master was missing, and together the trio infiltrated Zan Arbor’s compound.
At the end of the mission, Qui-Gon was rescued, but Zan Arbor got away with Master R’aya.
It was years into her friendship with Obi-Wan that everything... changed. Their Masters were assigned to be bodyguards for a young boy named Talesan Fry, who had overheard a plot to assassinate over twenty senators, and they brought Siri and Obi-Wan along to Cirrus (as befit their Padawan status). They managed to escape the planet, but the bounty hunter was too determined, so they (mostly) faked a crash on the nearby planet Quadrant Seven. Obi-Wan and Siri were sent with Talesan into the nearby caves, while the Masters went to investigate the nearby settlements. It was during their time in the caves, during their bickering (perhaps because of their bickering), that they expressed their feelings for each other; they decided to put their focus on the mission.
After receiving a distorted comm message from Qui-Gon, they debated on where they should taken Talesan. There was a mention of an uncle on Qexis, but this simply led to more debate between the two teenagers. Eventually they decided to steal a transport to Coruscant, and because of Talesan and his technological skills they were able to bypass the security system. However, they didn’t bypass the anti-theft mechanism. It activated, which made it so that the ship would explode coming out of hyperspace. It was then that Siri and Obi-Wan truly recognized their feelings for one another. The two Padawans agreed to discuss things more after the mission was completed.
There was just one way around the anti-theft mechanism. So Talesan sent out a distress signal, which caught the attention of Magus and his pirates; the bounty hunters' ship used its interdiction field to pull their ship out of hyperspace without an explosion. Talesan gave himself up to protect Obi-Wan and Siri. They reunited with their masters and went to his rescue on Rondai-2. They learned that the bounty hunters had been hired by Passel Argente, who was with the Corporate Alliance; he was targeting his political enemies. The Jedi confronted Magus and his men, rescuing Talesan. Magus, however, fled.
Once Talesan was safe, and after having a talk with Qui-Gon and Yoda about the consequences of Qui-Gon’s love for Master Tahl. They chose to abandon their love, and vowed to never speak of it again.
It was shortly after the invasion of Naboo that Siri had a major disagreement with Gallia, which led to her being dismissed as a Padawan, and her leaving the Order. Cutting all ties with the place she used to call home, she joined the slave trader Krayn and took the name Zora. She became his right hand woman. Most Jedi thought she was a traitor, and when Obi-Wan and his new apprentice Anakin crossed her path they thought the same. They were wrong, however. It was part of an undercover operation set up by the Council to overthrow Krayn’s slave trading operation, and operation that would serve as Siri’s Trial for Knighthood. Anakin, who was captured and made a slave, inadvertently broke her cover, which led to her being imprisoned alongside him. Working together, they convinced the slaves to revolt. And with Obi-Wan’s help from the outside, they took out Krayn and ended his operation. Due to her years undercover, she picked up several habits that were decidedly unusual for a Jedi, habits that lingered in some fashion until her death on Azure (despite her attempts to break them). She was more affectionate, and was known to curse. It made her a little more restless, a little less inclined to listen wholeheartedly to the Council.
With her undercover mission at an end, Siri was welcomed back to the Order.
» Personality: (at least 200 words) Siri is... many things personality-wise. She’s acutely intelligent, and incredibly quick; able to think on her feet and adapt quickly after years of being sent on missions and spending several years undercover with Krayn, without anyone to rely on but herself (and the Force). As a child she was tomboyish, stubborn, feisty, impatient... headstrong. Tenacious. She was so incredibly determined and headstrong as an apprentice that it made it difficult for her to avoid combat, when she had the choice to. She had such focus and belief in herself that it made it difficult for her to work with others, believing, as she did, that she was strong enough to finish things on her own. She thought too much of her own abilities. As she grew older, that focus never changed, but she learned that wasn’t invincible. "I know now that I will not always be strong. I will not be afraid to recognize when I'm weak." She learned that it was all right to rely on other people, instead of charging off on her own. She found the balance between believing in herself and her abilities and overconfidence. That stubbornness, impatience, headstrong nature of hers... that all remained, but it was tempered. She grew a little bit less impatient, a little bit more prudent. Although, as Mace Windu will later point out, it’s ‘a fault she has tried to correct, but one that often gets in her way’. She’s not terribly good at being diplomatic; she would much rather just cut through the bullshit and get to the point. She’s always geared for action.
There’s more depth to her than most people usually see; hidden under a layer of cool confidence. She once told Obi-Wan that she wondered if he expected her to have any feelings at all. Siri does, in fact. She simply doesn’t show always them (she’s always hidden them better than Obi-Wan), although those who know her well enough can sometimes pick up on them. And sometimes she can let them know what she’s feeling without speaking of them at all. But she’s never one to hide her feelings if she thinks it not necessary. She has no problem letting people know if she thinks an idea is ridiculous.
She’s incredibly sarcastic and witty; the tendency towards sass and snarkery is strong in this one. Particularly in moments of tenseness. Even if it’s only briefly. Bickering and bantering is a staple of communication with her. Even in the middle of a crisis, Siri’s always able to joke. (The Council will not particularly appreciate the levity in the Council chambers.)
Her integrity and courage is something that has been commented on, mentioned in narration by Obi-Wan as something he’d always been impressed by. She protected Anakin as much as she could while undercover with Krayn, even though it could have put her undercover mission at risk.
One thing that never changed was her loyalty to the Jedi Order. She was (and will remain until her death), fiercely loyal to the Order she’d sworn her life to. Her first conversation with Obi-Wan, where she called him a disgrace to Padawans because he’d left the Order. Even when they asked her to sever ties with them, and go undercover with a slaver in order to bring down his operation, she did so without question. When Obi-Wan realised that she hadn’t betrayed the Jedi, he uses her fierce commitment to the Order as something he should have remembered to realise it sooner.
That loyalty, that duty, was what enabled her to turn away from what she felt for Obi-Wan. No matter how much it hurt.
She’s picked up several habits that the Order would, no doubt, consider bad ones, due to her time spent undercover to bring down Krayn’s slaving ring. She gained a more colourful vocabulary, with a tendency to swear more. And more... affectionate, in some ways; she’s comfortable making physical contact with others. She’s more restless, now, less inclined to listen whole-heartedly to the Council.
She enjoys being active, sparring and training and DOING something; it’s only gotten worse since her return from the mission with Krayn and the increase in her restlessness.

» First Person Sample Choice: (PROMPT #1)
[Waking up nude is without any memory of how she’d gotten somewhere isn’t something Siri has ever had a problem with before. Jedi aren’t big on the whole carousing thing. At least, SHE isn’t. The lingering memories of whatever dream she apparently had been having before her arrival here are... erotic. Vividly so. It’s a little disconcerting, honestly. Particularly because of who’d had a starring role in the aforementioned dream. Kriff, she’s never dreamt of him... like that.
The collar around her neck is a new addition, too. Plain and black and reminding her too much of the slavers she’d spent years undercover with. It makes her uneasy.
And then she finds the welcome basket. She’s not sure whether she believes it’s a trick, or just a joke in very poor taste. Either way... she wants to know what’s kriffing going on. And not from a basket from whoever it was that dragged her here. So she uses the device that came with the welcome basket; AFTER wrapping herself in a sheet. She looks... irritated.]
I’ve been kidnapped... in order to have sex to power an island. [She makes a disbelieving, irritated sound. This is a load of bantha poodoo] For star’s sake, please tell me this is a joke. Because this can’t be kriffing serious.
» Third Person Sample Choice: (PROMPT #1)
Siri yawned and stretched, feeling strangely heavy limbed and sated, the dream memory of lips on her skin, hands touching her lingering in her mind, familiar lips, familiar hands, although they'd never touched her like that... and tensed. That was wrong. So much of this was wrong. She hadn’t... She shouldn’t... and the sheets were too silky against her skin... Kriff. She hadn’t been nude when she went to bed. What had kriffing happened to her clothes? Snapping instantly into wakefulness, she jerked upright. These weren’t her quarters in the Temple. This was about as far from her quarters in the Temple as she could get. The windows were open and through them drifted the scent of the sea. Which would be impossible if she was still on Coruscant.
Where WAS she?
Siri went to reach out with the Force... only to find NOTHING. It was gone. She couldn’t... she didn’t... Inhaling slowly, she tried again.
Still nothing.
She felt... blind, deaf, as though she’d lost a limb. Lost LIMBS. And she had, in a way. The Force had been with her for her entire life, and to suddenly be... bereft... Panic and worry and a brief flutter of anger welled up in her chest. Focus, Tachi. One thing at a time. She forced it down, taking a breath and centring herself. She might be without the Force but that didn’t make her useless. Wrapping a sheet around herself, she slipped out of the strange bed she’d found herself in and padded barefoot to the window.
All right. She was on an island. Not one she’d ever seen before, but there were a lot of planets in the galaxy, so that didn’t mean much.
It was then that she noticed the collar, plain and black around her neck, and there didn’t appear to be any sort of clasp or fastener. No matter how much her fingers searched its surface. And no matter how hard she tugged she couldn’t remove it.
Okay. She’d woken up in nothing but a kriffing collar, in a room filled with plush, expensive furniture. The question was, why? Searching the room revealed her clothing, carefully folded, with her lightsaber lying next to it. But there were things that must have been left here for her, because she certainly hadn’t had them with her. A strange device, a pamphlet, and candy in... unusual shapes. She picked one up and looked at it.
“For star’s sake, really?”
